At least four presidents of the United States of America have filed bankruptcy. Did you know that our founding father, Thomas Jefferson, the third president, filed bankruptcy; and more than one time. Jefferson appears on our money, has a huge memorial in Washington D.C., was the Governor of Virginia and he wrote the Declaration of Independence for our freedom.

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, declared bankruptcy in 1833, years before he ran for president. What more can anyone say! He is one of our most famous Presidents. Ulysses S.
